Anthony Johnson is a New York-based painter and sculptor whose work navigates the intersection of the physical and the felt. Drawing on the traditions of figurative painting and classical sculpture, his pieces examine how bodies — of paint, of stone, of flesh — hold and release meaning. \n\n His work has been exhibited in galleries across North America and Europe, and is held in private collections worldwide.
